Problems with Code

I downloaded this code.. and thought cool, something to play with...

I currently have some Sword and Magic clones, made by myself for free from the Social Apps people, and figured this would be nice for me to host myself on my own server.. as the other does not allow for it...

after pickign through a bit of the code it started to become evident that it doesnt seem all there...

1) Nothing saves to the database even tho there's database setups and a database sql file
2) Whenever I attempt to play the game as I have setup, I never earn stamina, or starpower in my own game, yet the one on movietown seems to work..

3) the office document does not seem to work, I'm in openoffice, do I need to install OFFICE XP or another version of a microclunk office suite to get it to do its job? will that fix it?
